Welcome to Culture at UoB

Alternative version of the University of Birmingham campus map, illustrated by artists in residence Sarah Silverwood and Bobby Nixon.

University of Birmingham’s leafy Edgbaston campus is home to a diverse cultural offer with free admission to public museums, galleries, archives, libraries and cultural venues.

The University is very proud of its five independently-managed museum structures, which together provide a breadth and diversity ranging from public museums to small, specialist research collections:  –

  • The Barber Institute of Fine Arts
  • The Lapworth Museum of Geology
  • Winterbourne House & Garden
  • Cadbury Research Library
  • Research & Cultural Collections

The University’s Culture team work to establish and grow partnerships and collaborations with cultural organisations, museums, businesses, and universities on a regional, national and international level, whilst engaging fully with staff, students, researchers, partners, and the community.

Visit www.birmingham.ac.uk/collections for more information including location and opening times.
